Records of Paul Collingwood

Happy Birthday Paul Collingwood. He turns 37 today (26th may 2013)

He has been a regular member of the ODI squad of England over the years as an classical batsman, useful all rounder and a brilliant fielder.

Some of his major achievements in cricket, which make him one of the best England players

Collingwood celebrates after hitting winning runs in final of T20 World Cup 2007

* He is the only English captain to take them to victory in any ICC Event - ICC World T20 2010

* He is only the second player to score a century and take a 5-wicket haul in an ODI match (after Sir Viv Richards) - 112* & 6/31 vs Bangladesh at Nottingham in 2005.

* He holds the record for Most ODI Runs for England - 5092

* He has represented England in Most ODIs - 197

* He is the only English player to score 5000 Runs, take 100 Wickets and grab 100 catches in ODIs (10th overall).

* His bowling figures of 6/31 are the best by any English player in ODIs.

* He is the only player to player to get an MBE for scoring 7 runs and 10 runs in a test match, at the Oval.

* He is the first Durham player to score a test century for England.

* He holds the record for Fastest ODI 50 by an English batsman - 50 off 24 balls in vs NZ in Feb 2008

Not a record to be proud of. He is the only English player to score a double century in a lost ashes test (Only Syd Gregory from Australia has this unwanted feat), he scored 206 runs at Adelaide in Ashes 2006/07.
